Last week, I showed my Spring 2012 line at Portland Fashion Week. I haven’t done runway for….ooooh….well, a while.

I don’t remember it being so much fun.

Maybe it was because I had Ira, Tom, Banchong, Amy, Lynda, Laurie and the fabulous Kelly cheering me on.

One of the highlights of the weekend was getting voodoo do-nuts at midnight, although I have been thinking all week that I wished I had gotten the Memphis Mafia instead of the Portland Cream. Better get back to Portland soon.

The lovely Marti Jonjak interviewed me for The Stranger a couple of weeks ago.

The article came out last week.

Look! The Allyson coat shows up in the November issue of Seattle Met magazine. A big thank you to Laura and the Seattle Met team. Love the shot!

o’briens at the seaside

My uncle Jack just sent me some old photographs after I pestered him nonstop for a couple of months. Here are my grandparents and some of my aunts and uncles at the beach…Whitley Bay, maybe.

It must be after the war because aunty Cate is there.  She was born after grandad was released as a prisoner of war in Italy.

from left to right: uncle Michael, aunty Margaret, grandad, aunty Cate, gran, uncle Peter. The only one missing is my mum – she was older and was probably at work…or maybe taking the photo.

Note especially the lovely cardigan gran is wearing and Peter’s fair-isle vest, both made undoubtedly, by gran.
